1925: Introduction of private Econ label
1970: Listed on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange

Econosto’s history has a number of milestones that have played a decisive role in the company’s development. Entrepreneurs were always in control at the right moment and set the course when new perspectives were observed in the market. There are therefore more starting points to indicate than that one date: 3 September 1892. The move to Rotterdam in 1903, which at the time developed from a merchant city into a transit port with a huge market and a spin-off for maritime activities. Econosto’s growth ran parallel with the expansion of the Rotterdam port into the most important port in Western Europe.
