Figure no. 1539E and 1540E can (optionally) be fitted with a PTFE/ graphite soft seat for tight shut off. Maximum temperature for tight shut off version is limited to 180°C.
 
Advantages of the Econ® PRV’s:
  • Easy adjustment with the specially designed regulating knob. The knob is fitted with pins which guarantee that the set pressure remains the same even under heavy vibrations;
  • High durability by means of a specially designed bellow;
  • Large capacity due to high KVs values;
  • Faster response to changes in the system and more stable control due to newly designed inner parts.
 
For a good control of the reduced pressure there are 3 different spring ranges with their own colour code;

  • The spring color code is indicated by the colour of the spring plate on top of the Econ® blue adjustment knob;
  • Where control ranges overlap, always use the lower range to give better control and precision.
Installation
As a pressure reducing valve is a precision instrument it needs to be protected against wetted steam and dirt to function properly and a longer life time. See picture below for proper installation.
  • Water separator c/w steam trap station, to separate the condensate from the steam and to drain the condensate;
  • Y-type strainer to remove dirt and other particles;
  • Bellow sealed valves to block in the PRV;
  • Pressure gauge set.
